We thank the Lord for ACC and your partnership with us in Christ’s work worldwide!
We recently received some shocking news from Christopher Kapito, our ministry leader in Malawi. He shared that Pastor Soul, who has been our translator, had been taking money for himself that was for work. When Christopher confronted him about it, he did not repent and restore the money, instead he asked a witch doctor to put a curse on Christopher and the ministry.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers and…against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12.
Most Malawians are subsistence farmer with an income of $620/year. Consequently they are prone to be in an intense spiritual battle in the following areas:
- Envy that leads to stealing, lying and fighting.
- Selfish ambition that leads to slander and division.
- False teaching of the wealth/health gospel that promotes the love of money and envy which is common.
- Widespread emphasis on healing and deliverance services where the pastor puts on a show of power and becomes the center of attention rather than Christ and the gospel with no making obedient disciples to Christ who multiply.
PRAY: We are exhorted to put on the whole armor of Christ and pray: And pray in the Spirit . . . be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18.
The devil is a liar (John 8:44). Jesus said, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free…everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin…so if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.” John 8:31-36.
Pray for church leaders in impoverished nations to be:
- abiding in Christ and the truth of His Word.
- set free from envy and the lies of the devil.
- free to love and thank God and be channels of His love and grace in Christ to others.
Gratefully in Christ,

On the left is Pastor Soul; pray for his repentance. On the right is Pastor Christopher and family; pray they will continue to have humble Christ like hearts to do His will for the glory of God.
