Care Team Training

At Alderwood, we have a dedicated team of specially trained, compassionate individuals who provide confidential, one-to-one emotional and spiritual support to people in our church family facing difficult circumstances. We call these caregivers “Stephen Ministers.”

Stephen Ministers offer encouragement and support to those who are hurting by being consistently present, listening with care and pointing to God as the ultimate source of healing and restoration for our brokenness.

APPLICATIONS DUE: JANUARY 25th
We require an application before joining us for this training. You will receive an application form after you register to take this class and our team will review them with you prior to the training.

If God is calling you to serve in this way, please consider joining our next training class. Training will kick-off on Saturday March 7th from 9a-1p, then move to Thursday evenings from 6-8:30pm for 9 weeks beginning March 12th.

Once trained, Stephen Ministers meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month for supervision and continuing education to ensure that we continue to provide the best possible care to those we serve.
