What is love?

What does it mean to love another person?

• Acceptance?
• Approval?
• Affection?

What does it mean to love God?

• Obedience?
• Sacrifice?
• Reverence?

True love can never start with us.

What does it mean that God loves us?

            1 John 4:9-10

God’s love is his self-giving, self-sacrificing pursuit of us.

We can truly love only as a reflection of God’s love towards us.

            1 John 4:11

Once received, God’s love can’t be contained.

            1 John 4:12-16
