Beautiful Feet

Big Idea: The Gospel is Good News that needs to be heard!

  1. No one can establish their own righteousness in God’s sight by their own good works. (Romans 9:30-33; 10:1-4, 16-21)

“Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

  2. Salvation is found only by faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:5-10)
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10

  3. This Gospel is for all people and must be told to all people. (Romans 10:11-15)
“As the Scripture says, ‘Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’  For there is no difference between Jew or Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:11-13
“And they sang a new song: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Revelation 5:9
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?  And how then can they believe in the one whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”  Romans 10:14-15
