Big Idea: We would be known as a church of everyday followers of Jesus who seek to please God in every area of our lives.

1. Pray that God would fill each of us with the knowledge of His will so that we will “walk the talk”.

“The Spirit of God uses the Word of God to make the Child of God more like the Son of God.”

“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38

2. Pray that God would fill each of us with the knowledge of His will so that we will desire to please Him in every area of our lives.

----Who do you really seek to please?

3. Let’s seek to please God in these four ways.

----A. By engaging in good works

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16

----B. By growing in the knowledge of God

----C. By being strengthened with God’s power in order to exhibit endurance and patience

----D. By joyfully giving thanks to our Father for our inheritance
