An Afternoon with Dr. Gerry Breshears
On September 18th, we are welcoming a special guest speaker for all three church services plus an afternoon seminar.
In the afternoon seminar, Gerry will be taking us deeper into the creation story and also give us some ways of understanding God’s Story in the Old Testament. Come get your year in God’s Story off to a great start by learning some frameworks that will help the Old Testament make sense!
Dr. Gerry Breshears is professor of theology at Western Seminary since 1980. He served three years with WorldVenture in the Philippines, teaching mathematics at Faith Academy and helping start Calvary Baptist Church. He now teaches overseas about one month per year. In addition to teaching and lecturing at a number of colleges and seminaries around the world, he speaks in many churches. Gerry and his wife, Sherry, have two sons, Donn and David, and a daughter, Cyndee, and three wonderful grandgirls. He is an elder and a member of the preaching team at Grace Community Church of Gresham, Oregon.
