Featuring Guest Speakers Todd and Karynn King
Todd and Karynn King got married where they met: at a chapel in a large church in Chicagoland. After a few months of working together in youth ministry, these two fell in love and went on an amazing adventure together. After two decades in youth ministry, the Kings their two boys moved to South Africa to help form a mission organization. After successfully establishing the organization, they returned to America to pursue pastoral ministry.
That brought the King family to Christ the King Community church in Northwest Washington State. Todd first served for 5 years on Whidbey Island, and it was here that Karynn started her Counseling Ministry. After Whidbey Todd went to co-lead the original Christ the King church in Bellingham—and oversee their six campuses.
Two years ago, God stirred in Todd’s heart a new adventure in Ellensburg, WA where he is the Lead Pastor of Mercer Creek Church. Mercer is a thriving Christian and Missionary Alliance church adjacent to Central Washington University and they have just started a new campus in Roslyn, WA. Karynn continues her counseling and now has a very keen set-up for Equine Therapy which she is able to do from home.
The Kings ride horses together (Karynn has Storm, Todd has Max), root for the Denver Broncos despite being around miserable Seahawk fans, and love to play copious amounts of cards with their two grown sons. They have been married for 27 years, and it feels like it.
